It is distinguished by an abundance of meat, aromatic spices, sauces made from juicy local vegetables, fruits and herbs. The local population and tourists love traditional national dishes: khachapuri, khinkali, mtsvadi (shashlik), phali, lobio, chakapuli, chashushuli, eggplant with nuts, national sweet “Churchkhela” made from a mixture of grape juice and flour “Pelamushi”.

    Drinks are popular: chacha, Georgian wine varieties “Saperavi”, “Kindzmarauli”, “Khvanchkara”, “Tsinandali”, “Rkatsiteli”, “Mukuzani”; mineral water “Borjomi”; famous sweet water “Lagidze”.

    Georgia is one of the main centers of the vine and the birthplace of cultural viticulture. Prints of grape leaves from the 6th Millennium BC were found here. about 500 varieties of grapes are grown here!
